Bushcraft is not survival in the wild with a knife, no. Bushcraft is life in the wild with minimal equipment, with one that you can carry on yourself. And this is an ax, and even a tent, dishes, and of course a reliable knife like. 
 
 A true bushcraft knife should have: 
 1) A rather thick butt-fultang design - to perform work that require the use of a knife "on kink" 
 2) A powerful and sharp tip of the knife, which allows you to confidently pick and drill a tree without breaking it. 
 3) Scandinavian slopes. Such descents are easier to sharpen and when cutting dry poles along, the chock will quickly crack - the knife will work like a wedge, and not get stuck in the wood, forcing you to hammer it deeper and deeper! 
 4) The ability to make a fire in the absence of matches or lighters. The knife is equipped with leather sheaths with a hole for inflating a fire and a flint for carving a spark.
